A DARK COMEDY |
TRENT STAADECKER, a slightly neurotic marketing sales exec from LA, fears that he will contract the same horrific, lingering, memory robbing illness that killed his father. Believing this he finally wears down his hedonistic brother JAMES and their bungling best friend GEORGE getting them to promise to do a mercy killing should Trent contract the illness. Trent requests not to know when or where the killing will take place. Days before a sales meeting in Cancun Mexico, Trent has a severe allergic reaction exhibiting symptoms similar to his fathers. This along with the mix up between Trent and an old insurance letter diagnosing Trent's father condition is enough to send James and George pricing out a mercy killing from a hit man in Mexico. Due to George's bad Spanish much is lost in translation and the hit man, EL RAPIDO, believes he and his men are hired to kill Trent immediately. |
A series of bungled assassination attempts are made until the kidnapping/ransom of Trent's love interest GLORIA JIMENEZ forces them to confront the assassins in a hidden tomb inside an ancient pyramid during a hurricane. After much rankling and a narrow escape the girl is saved and the assassins are literally washed away. Trent returns to LA, makes peace with his father's death and marries Lauren. |
