This Day |
(July 94) |
You've seen this day before, it comes but once a year. Brutalized by the levity of friends, yet, it is still your special day, as well it should; time is an enigma that can build a city or destroy a nation; that can seed a field of flowers or flood a forest; that can stand a person up right and make them proud or break them until the soul cries and hope becomes a stranger; and so that you know, within all of this, time has been your good friend. Time has taken all the best of what you were and molded it into what you have become. The light that embraces you, from what may seem at times the shadows, is your fortune and goodwill; it is your good nature on which, everything and everyone, you bestow; it is your understanding that without, your friends would be intolerable; it is your beauty and kind way that of all things exemplifies your spirit and physical being; that I have found you is a blessing, that I may know you gives me gladness, that I may love you gives me all that matters in this world or the next. |
